Description
Keep your display on and prevent your computer from sleeping
Power Requests are Windows official way of preventing your computer from sleeping and to keep the dispaly on.
This is why your display doesn't turn off when you're watching a movie.
It is not a mouse wiggler and doesn't require elevated privileges.
Once you stop Requesting Power your computer will go back to however the sleep and display settings are configured.
Common LabVIEW tasks that DO NOT prevent the computer from sleeping:
DAQ
Writing to a file
Serial Port access
You can monitor Windows Power Requests from a command prompt with admin privileges.
Use the command "powercfg -requests"
