I am a Test Systems Engineer focused on creating computationally correct, robust, and user friendly test and measurement systems.

My core skill is writing high-quality, reliable and intuitive LabVIEW applications that communicate with instruments, sensors and actuators. I have been using LabVIEW as my primary programming language since 2013 and have been a Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) since 2017.

I have experience in all aspects of test system development, from test specification definition and requirements gathering, through to enclosure design, instrument selection, test software design and implementation, database design for test results storage, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) reports generation.

I believe in the saying “measure twice, cut once”, and believe that quality usually pays for itself many times over in the long-term. I favour doing things right over doing them in a rush. That’s not to say I work slowly. In fact, I believe I am one of the fastest LabVIEW programmers around.

I am passionate about technology, therefore I constantly strive to improve my skills by reading books, attending user groups and events, and by learning from the engineers around me. I stay up-to-date with the world of engineering by reading the E&T magazine published by the IET.
